Simon was born and grew up in the picturesque town of Barnstaple, North Devon, this is where he first discovered and developed his passion for Art.
Through his studies he obtained an OND in Art and Design, at North Devon College and went on to Ipswich, to successfully achieve an HND in Graphic Design and Illustration at Suffolk College of Higher and Further Education.
In his twenties, Simon worked for a major graphic design company in London, and then went on to teach the principles of graphic design at Southampton Technical College. Following this, he privately tutored students in the techniques of oil painting.
Encouraged by his achievements, in 1994, he began oil painting full time; however, it wasn't until early 2010 that he had his first exhibition at The Queens Theatre, Barnstaple.
Following this success, Simon has also exhibited at The West Buckland Festival, and is now a resident artist at The Elliott Gallery, Braunton.
His style is very versatile, and he is equally happy, and proficient, in the use of both paint and digital media.
He now lives in Westward Ho!, North Devon, with his wife and business partner, Danielle.
Living by the sea has inspired him further and enhanced his aspirations further within the ever developing world of art.
