The Basil Who Built Bridges is the world's first plantable book, created with special handmade paper embedded with real basil plant seeds so you can have lots of fun reading the story and growing your own herbs together!
Read the charming tale about Basil - part of an intrepid crime-fighting trio. But when someone needs his help, this heroic herb steps up on his own to save the day. With a shelf life of two years little ones can enjoy the book over and over, then follow the instructions to plant the paper and be amazed (and hopefully inspired to eat more greens!) when real basil grow in a few weeks. Instructions covering the basics of growing herbs and vegetables are included in the book.
The paper is made in the UK using recycled paper from post-consumer waste, with NON-GMO seeds and instead of glue or metal staples, 100% natural cotton is used to bind the books that have are printed with eco-friendly vegetable-based inks, so the books are eco-friendly and fully biodegradable.
